Space

Now I have firmly moved into art instillation territory. I have done installations before, but never independently. And every installation I have done was created with a specific space in mind. So I went in search of potential locations. The most logical place seemed to be somewhere in the SMU art spaces, and the old Meadows Museum location seemed fittingly “regal”. So, that is where I started considering layout.

The floor plan helped me consider ways in which viewers might move about the space. This plan depicts the first idea - dolls flanking a throne on the landing.
